General Information

Rugeley is a market town of about 25,000 population in Mid-Staffordshire. To the north, east and south of the town is mainly farm land. Five minutes drive to the west of the town is Cannock Chase area of outstanding natural beauty. The cathedral city of Lichfield lies about 7 miles to the south and the county town of Stafford about 9 miles to the north-west. The town is served by two railway stations. Trent Valley is on the west coast main line and has  regular services to London Euston (about two and a half hours), Manchester Picadilly (about 90 minutes) and Liverpool Lime Street (about 90 minutes). Rugeley Town station has a half hourly service to either Stafford (about 15 minutes) or Birmingham New Street via Cannock and Walsall (about 50 minutes). The M6 motorway can be reached in about 15 minutes. Apart from local services there are regular buses to Cannock, Stafford, Lichfield and Tamworth.

Owens Close is a cul-de-sac consists of five detached houses which were constructed in 1974. It is located off Bush Drive which is in a very quiet part of the town. Despite the quiet location the town centre can be reached on foot in five minutes. Chancel Primary School, which is well respected locally, is about 400 metres, Fair Oak and Hagley Park Secondary Schools are both about ten minutes walk away and the Aelfgar Sixth Form Centre is about 150 metres. The modern Leisure Centre is located adjacent to Hagley Park School.

All windows and doors (including the garage), dormer cladding, facias and gutters are constructed from low maintenance PVCu with double glazed units. Doors are fitted with safety glass and doors and windows all have high security multi-point locking systems. The only maintenance required to the PVCu is an occasional wash down with warm soapy water. Heating is by way of radiators which are heated by a gas fired back boiler which also provides the hot water. The boiler has been serviced regularly from new and service records will be provided. The electric installation was upgraded in October 2006 and now consists of miniature circuit breakers rather than fuses. Critical circuits are protected by 30mA RCD’s.All work was carried out by a registered electrician and EIC test certificates will be provided.
